CLIPS Announce Former Pitcher Isiah Lindsey as New Pitching Coach for 2026

MUSKEGON, MI — The Muskegon Clippers are proud to announce that former Clippers pitcher Isiah Lindsey has been hired as the organization’s Pitching Coach for the 2026 season. Lindsey becomes the latest former player to return to Muskegon in a leadership role, continuing the team’s commitment to developing talent both on and off the field.

Clippers fans will recognize Lindsey from his time on the mound during the 2023 and 2024 seasons, where he quickly became a respected teammate and competitor. Now, he brings that same energy, knowledge, and passion for the game to the Clippers’ coaching staff.

Coaching Background & Professional Experience

Lindsey joins Muskegon from Tiffin University, where he is completing his MBA in Sport Management while contributing to player development within the program. Prior to his time at Tiffin, he served as the Director of Baseball Operations at Eastern Michigan University, gaining hands-on experience in the daily operations, analytics, and development of a Division I program.

Playing Career

Lindsey completed his collegiate playing career at Eastern Michigan University in 2024. That season, he appeared in 22 games, striking out 27 batters over 38 innings and working as a reliable arm out of the bullpen. He recorded a season-high six strikeouts in a 4.2-inning appearance against Oakland University.

Before arriving at EMU, he pitched at Lansing Community College in 2023, going 2–0 with a 3.44 ERA in six appearances. He began his collegiate career at Lake Michigan College, where he logged 86.2 innings, struck out 64 batters, and earned a 5–4 record over two seasons.

Local Roots & Personal Background

A native of Spring Lake, Michigan, Lindsey was a four-year letterwinner at Spring Lake High School, where he played under his father, head coach Jeff Lindsey. During his high school career, he earned First Team All-Conference honors twice, First Team All-District honors twice, and an All-Region selection.

Lindsey now resides in Findlay, Ohio, with his girlfriend and their son, Walker.

A Welcome Return to Muskegon

“We are extremely excited to welcome Isiah back to the Clippers family,” the organization said in a statement. “He was a leader during his time here as a player, and we are confident he will bring that same leadership to our pitching staff. His mix of collegiate coaching experience, high-level playing experience, and local roots make him a perfect fit for our organization.”

The Clippers look forward to the impact Coach Lindsey will have on the team as preparations continue for the upcoming 2026 season.
