Clips Hire new Play-by-play announcer for 2026

The Muskegon Clippers are proud to introduce Myles Welch as our new team broadcaster. Myles will provide pre- and post-game interviews and handle play-by-play coverage for all Clippers’ games during the upcoming season.

He succeeds the well-regarded, Jonathon Timm, who recently accepted a position as a Media Relations/Broadcast Intern with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, the High-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers.

Myles is a broadcast journalism student at Michigan State University and currently works with Spartan Vision on the Big Ten Network Plus, a program that gives students hands-on experience in both technical production and on-air broadcasting. He also served as the play-by-play broadcaster for the West Michigan Ironmen in 2025.

We are excited to welcome Myles to the Clippers’ family and look forward to the energy and professionalism he will bring to our broadcasts next season!
