Former Muskegon Clipper Aaron Piasecki Selected by Houston Astros in 8th Round of MLB Draft
Former The Muskegon Clippers are proud to congratulate former infielder Aaron Piasecki on being selected by the Houston Astros in the 8th Round of the 2026 Major League Baseball Draft.
Piasecki, who suited up for the Clippers during the 2023 season, becomes the latest former Muskegon player to achieve the dream of hearing his name called on MLB Draft day. His selection is a testament to years of hard work, dedication, and continued development at every level of baseball.
During his summer with the Clippers, Piasecki quickly established himself as one of the league's toughest hitters. In 35 games, he batted .344 with 43 hits, 33 runs scored, 26 RBIs, and posted an impressive .458 on-base percentage while displaying the disciplined approach at the plate that has become his trademark.
Following his time in Muskegon, Piasecki's career continued to soar. After standout seasons at Kellogg Community College, Central Michigan University, and Troy University, he developed into one of the top senior hitters in college baseball. At Troy, the Muskegon native earned All-Sun Belt honors while helping lead the Trojans to one of the most successful seasons in program history.
